How we do things
House rules
A few simple rules keep the Circle friendly and useful. They apply in the WhatsApp group, at our events and at meet-ups.
Who the Circle is for
iGaming Circle Costa Del Sol is for people who work in online gambling and live on the coast, from Gibraltar to Nerja. Catie or Negin checks every application before adding anyone.
Be kind and respect everyone
We come from many countries, companies and job levels. Treat everyone with respect, in the group and in person.
Business is welcome, and so is a no
Doing business together is welcome. We want to make money together. If someone is not interested, take no for an answer.
What is said in the Circle stays in the Circle
We work for competing companies. Do not pass on what members tell you, and do not share screenshots from the group.
iGaming Sisterhood stays women-only
The Circle started as a women’s community. The iGaming Sisterhood channel is for women only, and it stays that way.
Events and meet-ups
Events are the bigger ones, planned ahead. Meet-ups are spontaneous hangouts between members, arranged in the Meet-ups channel.
Guests, children and dogs
It depends on the event. The event page says who can come along, so please check before you bring someone.
Photos
We take photos at events, and they may appear on this site and on social media. Tell an organiser if you prefer not to be in them, or if you want a photo removed.
Sponsors
Sponsors make most events possible, and they are part of the Circle. They can see the name, company, role, LinkedIn profile and WhatsApp number of members and guests, and nothing else. They may not contact anyone from those lists. Sponsors meet people at the events, like everyone else.
Jobs
Job posts go in the Recruiting channel, not in General. You can also send a role to the jobs page.
If someone breaks the rules
Tell Catie or Negin. The founders can remove anyone who breaks these rules, from the group and from events.
