Who is responsible
iGaming Circle Costa Del Sol is run by its founders, Catie Di Stefano and Negin Namazi, on the Costa Del Sol, Spain. You can reach us through the contact form.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site:
- Membership form: name, email, WhatsApp number, company, role, town, your LinkedIn link, and your note if you add one.
- Event sign-up: name, email, WhatsApp number, company, role, your LinkedIn link, whether you are already in the group, your answers about the event (for example padel level), the name of a guest you bring, and anything you write in the note.
- Sponsor form: name, work email, company, what you are interested in, and your message.
- Job form: company, job title, location, working model, the link to the advert, your name and email, and your description.
- Local event, member story and contact forms: your name, email and what you write.
- Event news list: your email, and your first name if you give it.
To stop spam, the site also keeps a scrambled, unreadable version of your internet address for 24 hours after you send a form. Like every website, our server keeps a technical log of visits.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use these details to answer you, to check that members work in the industry, to add you to the WhatsApp group if you ask to join, to organise the event you signed up for, and to tell you about events if you asked for that. We also let our sponsors see some membership and event sign-up details, as explained below. The legal basis is your consent (article 6.1.a of the GDPR), which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who can see it
The two founders see everything you send. Each form is saved on the site and a copy is emailed to the founders.
The Circle is paid for by sponsors, and sponsors can see who our members and event guests are: name, company, role, LinkedIn profile and WhatsApp number. They do not see your email, your notes or the name of a guest you bring. Sponsors are not allowed to contact anyone using these details, and they may not pass them on. We tell you this on the forms before you send them, and we do not sell your details to anyone. If you do not want sponsors to see your details, tell us and we will take you off the lists they see.
The site is hosted on a server operated by Fasthosts Internet Ltd, which stores the data on our behalf. The WhatsApp group is run on WhatsApp (Meta); if you join it, other members can see your phone number and name there, as in any WhatsApp group.
Nothing you send us is published without our approval, and jobs, member stories and local events are checked before they appear.
Photos
We take photos at our events and may publish them on this site and on our social media. If you would rather not be in them, tell an organiser at the event. If you want a photo of you removed, write to us through the contact form and we will take it down.
How long we keep it
Membership details for as long as you are a member. Applications we do not accept, event sign-ups and other messages for up to 12 months. Safety copies of the sign-up list are kept for 60 days and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or to stop us using them. Write to us through the contact form and we will do it within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD (aepd.es).
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies. When you send a form, one short-lived technical cookie is set so the site can show you the confirmation message, and one small cookie remembers your answer to the cookie question for six months.
Visitor statistics
If you click Accept on the cookie question, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to count visits and see which pages are useful. It then sets cookies and Google processes technical details such as your approximate location, device and the pages you open. If you click Reject, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your answer at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. The legal basis is your consent.
